Lost Art is a South Jersey band with roots in the new wave scene of the 80's. It's had several versions but always performing the original material of Alex Pepiak, a lifelong guitarist, songwriter, seller of vintage musical instruments and a fixture on the South Jersey/Philadelphia music scene.
Performances can range from solo acoustic to a full electric band setup. These performances vary in content, and although they often share similar material, each is a unique and independent experience.
In the late 1980s, Sue joined as bassist. She had been a member of several South Jersey bands that performed at NYC's CBGB's and the Philly/South Jersey scene. In 1991, Alex and Sue were married and have remained the core of the project.
They are often joined by Bryan Cooper, percussionist/multi- instrumentalist, to round out the sound. Bryan can also be found behind the full drum kit. Bryan is a longtime veteran of the local South Jersey scene and can be seen performing with various artists in the area.
Mike Governa is a longtime member who sits behind the drum kit for many of the electric trio gigs. Mike was one of the original drummers for the South Jersey based band Quincy.
Bruce Marshall has occasionally lent his extraordinary keyboard skills to the band.
Rick Tamburo, bassist extraordinaire, served as original bassist and fill in for many shows. Rick is a great friend, and a musician that is always up for a challenge.
Vinnie Porrett has served behind the drum kit as a fill in on a number of occasions.
